Our Focus
Like Sheldon Chumir, our Foundation believes passionately in democracy and that every citizen has a duty to work towards strengthening democratic institutions, such as the rule of law. One focus of the Foundation is to nurture ethical debate and leadership regarding public policy issues related to our democratic institutions and traditions.
Ongoing Projects in this Area
Accordingly, much of the activity undertaken by the Sheldon Chumir Foundation for Ethics in Leadership is aimed at encouraging public engagement in the areas of public sector governance, rule of law and democratic institutions.
