Melissa Levin was born near Johannesburg, South Africa and is currently reading for a PhD in Political Science at the University of Toronto.

George Fetherling is a freelance columnist for the Vancouver Sun, an author and a juror on a variety of Arts Councils.

Gordon Laird is a well-known writer and editor, whose work has twice won gold at Canada's National Magazine Awards, including top honours for investigative reporting in 2001.
